With these settings I converted a gamermouse using friend of mine from disliking the magic mouse to loving it.įor cursor moving, I use my wrist for horizontal movement, and my fingers for vertical movement. I'll send some screenshots tonight of how I set up my magic mouse with bettertouchtool and magicprefs. Scrolling without this software is absolutely hateful. For scrolling I do have to place my ring finger on the right edge, but it feels natural. In MagicPrefs I disabled two finger scrolling so the mouse will never register a scroll when I'm resting my 2 fingers on it. But I have to say here, I did do some software adjustments with MagicPrefs to get this absolutely perfect. I scroll with my index finger and keep my middle finger on the right edge of the mouse. That keeps my index and middle finger free and I generally just rest them on the touch area when I'm moving the mouse around.
